"It was February 2000 when Abbie read an advert for line dancing lessons to be held at our village hall. For the next week all Irene and I head was "please mom, please A.J lets try it only once, if we don't like it we won’t go again. In the end we gave in. Well, nearly nine years later we're still dancing twice a week and more if we can, and there aren't many classes that we have missed.
I must admit like most people we thought cowboy hats and slap-a-my-thigh nights. What a mistake. Over the years we have learnt dances to both country and modern music. We prefer the modern we must say.
It gave all three of us an interest that we could do together and have fun at the same time. We've met loads of people and made loads of new friends over the years. Most of who are still dancing with us. It gives us regular exercise, (and for me it helped me go from a size 18/20 to a 14). It is a good form of workout whilst having fun.
If a non-dancer reads this don't think you cannot dance or that we are all fuddy duddies like TV. tries to portray, believe me 9 years ago we thought that. Come and look at us now.
Well on the last note thanks Abbie for persuading us to go that first time. Thank you Maggie for the last nine years of dance. Thank you Jackie for the light hearted humor we all look forward to. Hears to the future of our dancing. Love the studio and hope it all goes well."

"Wanted to say how much everyone enjoyed the line dance evening on 20th September. The feedback we got was that it was a superb evening and very professonal. I think their opinions have changed about line dancing. Margaret and I were amazed how many people got up to dance. There was a lot of laughter but also a lot of concentration. The whole evening was great fun which was down to you, Maggie. We hope to repeat this evening in the new year so we will definitely be asking you again. Thank you so much."
